Wayne Gretzky has been working out in Edmonton with current players Sam ganger, Ales Hemskey and Dustin Penner all summer with the team trainers to get him back into shape. The Oilers who had the worst record in the NHL in the 09-10 season are looking to make a Stanley cup run and make it again since they were last there against the Carolina Hurricanes in 2006. The great one will try and be great once again for the team that started it all for him.

"The Great One" Returns
Wayne "The Great One" Gretzky at age 49 arguably the greatest hockey player of all time will return for one final season with the Edmonton Oilers. 18 time all star Gretzky who is the all time leader in goals (894) assists (1,963) and points (2,857). Gretzky said that he wants to win one last championship before he retires for good. He wants to do it where he began his career and where he won 4 straight Stanley cups in Edmonton. Gretzky played with 4 NHL teams during his 21 year career. He played 9 season with the Edmonton Oilers where he won 4 championships. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Kings which was one of the biggest trades in the history of the NHL. In LA he played for 8 years and he failed to win another championship while playing there. In 1996 he got traded to the St. Louis Blues and there he played the remainder of the 96 season and that would be all he played in St. Louis. In that offseason he signed as a free agent with the New York Rangers where he reunited with longtime Edmonton Oilers teammate Mark Messier. He played his last 3 season of his career as a New York Ranger. He never won another championship after playing in Edmonton but that is why he returned he wants to win one last one before ending his career for good.

Rangers take on Coyotes in the desert
..rangers have a big game tonight if they want to be considered a playoff contender..yea they are in the playoffs right now sitting in the 6th seed but in reality they shouldnt be there right now...something has to happen with this team and why not start it on the road where there is no pressure from the NY crowd
...the key to tonights game if they want to bounce back is they have to show so heart and put in some effort but they really have to get on the board early and score a few goals to give Henrik a few goal lead. this guy deserves it without him the rangers are nothing, they are definitly not in the playoff picture if lundqvist isnt playing how he has played when the rangers were only able to put up 1 or 2 goals on the board he would make unbelieveable saves for this team and they just dont repay him.
...the rangers are going up against old time fan favorite Petr PRUUUUUCHAA tonight and he has been a very big part to the coyotes success this season.... its going to be a tough game out in arizona but hopefully the rangers have regrouped and figured something out
Colton Orr!! Why do the rangers have Brashear?
check out this goal by former rangers fan favorie
....WHY DIDNT SATHER RESIGN HIM...thats a better goal than i have seen any ranger score in the past month probably...donald brashear is such a waste why would the rangers not have colton orr
...what makes this worse is that it was against the rangers rival NJD
WARNER BEFORE FAVRE!?!?!?
..hahahah this is actually a real entertaining thing that favre and warner have going on for the last few years... the winner this year is...KURT WARNER congratulations. how long is this really going to go on for. hopefully this is it because im sick and tired of these people retiring and coming back its enough already... if favre would have retired before going to the jets then he probably wouldn't be hated as much as he is now. yea he had a real good year with the vikings but i believe that outstanding season he had was erased with him being a little bitch and not running for the 5-7 yards he could have gotten for a long game winning super bowl berth field goal attempt by longwell who is a real good kicker instead he makes a very low percentage throw across the field for an interception and not to long later the saints win it in overtime... Now kurt warner who hopefully has retired for the last time.. appeared in more super bowls than favre hell warner is more impressive to me than brett favre because he never gave up on coming into the nfl going from supermarket to arena football to backup qb then going to super bowls winning mvps that is a hell of a career yea favre never missed a start in w.e 18 years or something but just call it quits guys warner whose 38 maybe could squeeze another year out of himself but why not go out when your playing real well instead of waiting until yo hes u suck and then quit... for favre thats what may happen this summer because it cant get any better for favre

Federer eyes yet another Major title as Serena goes for a 6th Aussie Open
still left for the mens (1)Rodger Federer who is set to take on (10)Jo-Wilfried Tsonga this match is going to be real interesting because Tsonga is just relentless and has a very powerful ground stroke to go with a big serve...Do i even need to explain myself about Fed?...haha he is a machine that last match against Davydenko was a amazing match how he was just down and pretty much got hammerd in that first set to come back and win 6-3 then to win 6-0 in the 3rd set are you serious and to eventually win 7-5 in the final game that was amazing! my prediction is that federer will win this one in 4 sets.
...on the womens side we have (1) Serena Williams and Justine Henin...this is going to set up for a great dramtic final for the womens side because of henins comeback and also because of serena coming back from that us open controversy and to go with that she is taking a beating physically playing doubles going deep into that side of the tourny and also playing singles goign all the way to the finals trying to win her 6th aussie open...the hard hitting serena is oging to try and keep points short and if she can do that i think she has a great cahnce but if she doesnt and gets into rallies with Henin then Henin is going to ahve a good shot to win this one...My pick is going to be henin just because i dont really like serena all that much ahaha no just kidding i really do think an upset will happen i think henin is on fire and i really think serena is slowing down and wont be phscially ready for the match especially if she wins in doubles and has to play 2 doubles matches before her singles finals.
...federer tsonga match is going to be on espn 2 live from australia at 3:30 am eastern time
